By installing or using Notes Stack ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Extension.

Description of Service

Notes Stack is a free browser extension that allows you to capture notes, tasks, and reminders from your browser side panel. The Extension operates entirely within your browser and stores all data locally on your device.

License

Notes Stack is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, and distribute the Extension in accordance with the terms of the MIT License. The full license text is available in the source repository.

User Content

All content you create within Notes Stack (notes, tasks, reminders, stacks) remains entirely yours. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your content. The Extension provides an export feature to help you back up your data.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Extension in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension beyond what is permitted by the MIT License
• Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the Extension

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the Extension at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

This includes but is not limited to any loss of data, loss of profits, or other consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Extension.

Data Loss

Since all data is stored locally in your browser, clearing your browser data, uninstalling the Extension, or certain browser updates may result in loss of your notes and settings. We strongly recommend using the export feature regularly to back up your data. We are not responsible for any data loss.

Updates

We may release updates to the Extension from time to time. These updates may add, modify, or remove features. Continued use of the Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
